Hundreds of children to receive free eye surgery

Two hundred poor children with eye defects from several northern and central provinces will get free eye surgery thanks to donations from Prudential Life Insurance Company.

Under anagreement signed on August 5 with the National Fund for VietnameseChildren (NFVC), Prudential will grant 600 million VND (30,000 USD) tothe free eye surgery programme “ For children’s eyes.”

Along with eye surgery, Prudential will also sponsor eye exams for1,200 children in Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa and Nghe Anprovinces.

This is the third time Prudential has donated to this significant programme.

From 2012 to 2013, the programme helped 400 children recover their eyesight.

Since 2000, Prudential has cooperated with NFVC to carry out manyactivities to support poor children in difficult circumstances.-VNA
