Hue palace restoration begins

The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre has begun restoration of the Tho Ninh Palace in the Forbidden City at a cost of 10 billion VND (487,000 USD).
The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre has begun restoration of the ThoNinh Palace in the Forbidden City at a cost of 10 billion VND(487,000 USD).

The restoration involves the wooden portions, foundation, roof, wall enclosure, and exterior and interior decorations.

The palace, located in the north-west of the Forbidden City , wasbuilt in 1849 during the reign of King Tu Duc for the queen mothers, andlast underwent renovation more than 80 years ago.

The restoration is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2013./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
