Accordingto the provincial Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, over774,000 sq.m of land have been allocated to the families in accordancewith Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s Decision 29/2013/QD-TTg.
Deputy Head of the department, Son Tuoi, said that of the 2,000households, 337 have been given land use right certificates and 185 havestarted construction work.
The province has another 28,000 poorhouseholds, 16,000 of which are Khmer ethnic, accounting for over 19percent of local Khmer households.
In 2015 the province targetsthat all local poor Khmer households will have housing land, 85 percentof them will have access to loans and over 60 percent of Khmer labourersaged from 16 to 35 will be offered vocational training.-VNA
