In addition tothe hospital lecture, another 40 healthcare professionals from theAustralia - Vietnam Volunteers Resource Group, who were separated intoseveral groups, spoke about the latest nursing and emergency aidtreatments at seven hospitals in the city:
Tu Du Hospital, HungVuong Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital, Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, Children'sHospitals 1 and 2 and HCM City Hospital for Traumatic and Orthopaedic.
According to Vo Thuan Anh, head of Binh Dan Hospital's NursingDepartment, the training course has been held annually for two weeks.
Before organising the course at Binh Dan Hospital, the foreign expertshad given training at HCM City Children's Hospital 2 on Feb. 6.
In return, team members gain valuable insights into the trying workingcircumstances and the spirit displayed by Vietnamese health careprofessionals.
One of the lecturers, Gerry Silk of AVVRG,said the local healthcare professionals have a good level of knowledgeand the hospitals have good equipment.
The programmeinitially supported Vietnamese nurses in 2002. At that time, the coursewas held at only two hospitals, Binh Dan Hospital and HCM CityChildren's Hospital 1.
The conferences have evolved to include several other health care professions. /.
