A delegation of 70 enterprises from Hong Kong (China) will visit Vietnam to seek cooperation with Vietnamese firms next week in Ho Chi Minh City.

Hanoi (VNA) - A delegation of 70enterprises from Hong Kong (China) will visit Vietnam to seek cooperation withVietnamese firms next week in Ho Chi Minh City.

Those Hong Kong businesses specialise infinance, education, architecture, law, textiles, electronics components andfootwear products.

The event will be organised by theInvestment and Trade Promotion Centre of HCM City when the minister of commerceand economic development of Hong Kong, Edward Yau Tang-wah, visits the city.

This is a bridge to help businesses in HCMCity meet and seek opportunities for business development and investmentcooperation with investors from Hong Kong.

Trade exchanges between Vietnam and Hong Konghave been steadily increasing in the recent years. As of early September 2017, Vietnamis Hong Kong’s third largest trading partner in the ASEAN region, with abilateral trade turnover of over 13 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent.Of which, Hong Kong exported products worth 7.4 billion USD to Vietnam andimported goods worth 5.7 billion USD.

The main trade items between the two sides include telecommunications equipmentand components, semiconductors, valves and electronic tubes, knitted fabricsand knitting tools. – VNA
