Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi will receive 200 cherry trees as gift from Japan and plant them at Hoa Binh Park.
According to the municipal Party Committee, Japan will send some experts to Hanoi to assist with the planting and care for the trees to ensure that the trees will blossom one year later.
The Japanese side said the trees will be taken from the northeast region of Japan where the climate and soil conditions are similar to that of Hanoi.
They will arrive in the capital later this month.
Last month, the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Association’s chapter in the Chukyo region of Japan also presented Japanese cherry trees to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Hanoi.-VNA
