Chairman Mua A Son told theVietnam News Agency that the bad elements even forced the people, mainlywomen, old people and children to go to the forest for the so called“establishment of a H’Mong Kingdom”. Due to severe weather and deficientand unhygienic living conditions, many people have fallen ill and onechild has died from disease.
These activities areillegal, causing instability to local people’s life and production anddisturbing security and order in the locality, he said.
In the face of this situation, local authorities and massorganisations have sent cadres to persuade the people not to believe inthe bad elements’ plots. Local authorities have also provided food andmedicine to help the people return home to continue their normal life.
The situation in the district has become stable andlocal authorities and people are preparing for the elections of the13th National Assembly and the People’s Council at all levels for the2011-2016 term as planned.
