“Heroic Mother” title bestowed upon 327 women in HCM City

An additional 237 women in Ho Chi Minh City whose husbands and children laid down their lives for national liberation have been honoured as “Heroic Mother”.

An additional 237 women in Ho Chi Minh City whose husbands andchildren laid down their lives for national liberation have beenhonoured as “Heroic Mother”.

Among them, only 16 are alive and are able to receive the title at a ceremony held on December 21.

Atthe event, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Haistressed that the city is always grateful for the outstanding dedicationand sacrifices to the nation made by the mothers.

Hai alsopledged that local authorities would do their utmost to improve theliving conditions for the heroic mothers and their families.

HCM City is home to 3,633 Vietnamese heroic mothers.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
