Hearing aids presented to 1,000 patients in central region

A total of 1,000 hearing aids have been presented to deaf patients in the central region.

Da Nang (VNA) – A total of 1,000 hearing aids havebeen presented to deaf patients in the central region as part of a programmeco-organised by the VinaCapital Fund, Starkey Hearing Foundation, Da NangVolunteer, and Hoan My hospital.

Specifically, 600 hearing aids were provided for poor peoplein Da Nang city on May 1, while 400 are being presented to those living inother central provinces on May 1-2.

In 2017, the programme is expected to give 500 more deafaids to those in need in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, raising the total numberof gifts presented this year to 1,500.

Through the programme, the VinaCapital Fund and Hoan Myhospital want to share responsibility with the community in care for people’shealth.-VNA
