HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City’s Police have received the third-classDevelopment Order of the Lao President for its assistance to the Lao side.

The honourwas presented to the municipal Police by the Director of Vientiane’s Police ata ceremony in HCM City on June 26.

HCM City’sPolice have provided technical support for Laos, significantly contributing topromoting the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between theParties, States and people of the two countries.

In 2017,apart from technical support, HCM City’s Police organised training courses forVientiane’s Police, helping them fight crimes and protect security and order inthe capital city.

Lieut. Gen.Le Dong Phong, Director of HCM City’s Police, thanked the Lao Party and Statefor the noble award, and described this as a symbol of solidarity andfraternity between the police force of the two cities in particular and the twocountries in general.

Followingthe award ceremony, representatives of the police force of the two cities had aworking session, during which they discussed issues regarding security andorder protection, and mutual support. -VNA
