Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – HCM City’s People’s Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan said that the city welcomes more investment and tourists from the United Kingdom (UK) in his meeting with Prince Andrew on November 16.

Quan hoped Prince Andrew, in his position, would continue introducing the Vietnamese city to people and enterprises in the UK and said recent visits by many UK high-level delegations helped boost cooperation and offered assistance for the city in many fields, especially the private-public partnership model, education and health.

Prince Andrew said he is very interested in creating conditions and opportunities for young entrepreneurs and assist the development of young enterprises.

The UK is willing to use its experience and advantages to assist Vietnam in all fields, especially in supporting young people, the prince said.

Prince Andrew said the UK will implement specific projects to help Vietnam as well as HCM City in many fields, especially in the fields that the UK has advantages such as science and technology, engineering, and supporting industry.

Those projects, which focuses on young entrepreneurs and the development of startups, will be implemented in many localities, including HCM City, to contribute to the social-economic development of Vietnam in general and localities in particular.-VNA
