HCM City (VNA) - HCM City recently put forth a plan on the implementation ofthe national comprehensive financial strategy by 2020, with a vision towards2030.

The plan aims toenable people and businesses to access financial products and services providedby authorised organisations safely and conveniently and at affordable prices.

By 2025, atleast half of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the city are to haveloans from credit organisations, with outstanding debts in service of agriculturaland rural development accounting for 7 percent of all outstanding debts in thelocality.

At least 80percent of local adults will have an account at a bank or other authorisedorganisation. This is to reach 100 percent by 2030.

Cashlesstransactions are set to grow 20-25 percent annually.

HCM City alsoexpects to diversify financial services to make them more accessible to peopleand businesses, especially SMEs, residents of rural areas and city outskirts,low-income earners, and disadvantaged groups.

The applicationof digital technology as well as innovation will also be stepped up./.
