HCM City preschools to reopen in February, but optional

Ho Chi Minh City preschools will reopen after Tet (traditional Lunar New Year) after more than half a year of closure due to COVID-19 outbreak, but children’s attendance has been left to their parents’ discretion.

HCM City (VNS/VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City preschools will reopen afterTet (traditional Lunar New Year) after more than half a year of closure due toCOVID-19 outbreak, but children’s attendance has been left to their parents’discretion.

Since last September preschool teachers and employees have been providedtraining to teach and work safely amid the pandemic.

The school year is expected to end on July 29.

Campuses have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

The city Department of Education and Training has been tasked with deciding whenstudents need to attend school in case of harsh weather, natural disasters andepidemics, arranging back-up classes and ensuring the quality of education andthe safety of teachers and children./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
