HCM City needs 25,000 labourers in June

Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest economic hub in the southern region, need to recruit some 25,000 labourers in June, according to the municipal Centre for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labour Market Information (FALMI).

It also said that of the totaljob vacancies, 35 percent are for unskilled workers and 30 percent foruniversity graduates and postgraduates.

Most of the vacancies areavailable across the elds of information technology (IT), services,electrics and electronics, food industry, garments, leather shoes,architecture-construction, real estates, banking-finance, andaccounting-auditing.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, FALMI vicedirector, the labour market in the city has witnessed a disparitybetween demand and supply of high-quality personnel.

In May, recruitment demand rose 20 percent against the previous month while the number of job seekers increased by 5 percent.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
