Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City will need around 20,000 workers inJune, with those based in local industrial and export processing zonesplanning to recruit 5,000, according to the city’s Centre of ForecastingManpower Needs and Labour Market Information (FALMI).
Thelabour demand is high in business and marketing, services, informationtechnology (IT), accounting and auditing, electronics andtelecommunications, mechanical engineering, garment and textile, leatherfootwear and property.
There is a greater need for skilledworkers, with 63 percent of the available jobs requiring degrees fromtechnical-vocational schools, universities and higher education. Only 37percent of the jobs are expected to be given to unskilled labourers.
According to FALMI Vice Director Tran Anh Tuan, recruitment need hasbeen on the rise in the finance-banking and property sectors since earlythis year.
