Hanoi’s tourism revenue on National Day holiday reaches about 2.2 trillion VND

The tourism sector of Hanoi reported total revenue during the 4-day National Day holiday at 2.2 trillion VND (89.4 million USD), just behind Ho Chi Minh City with 3 trillion VND.

Hanoi (VNA) – The tourism sector of Hanoi reported total revenue during the 4-day National Day holiday at 2.2 trillion VND (89.4 million USD), just behind Ho Chi Minh City with 3 trillion VND.

Hanoi welcomed about 672,900 visitors on this occasion, an increase of 5% compared to last year. The figure included 58,900 international visitors, 35.8% higher than that of the same period last year.

According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), during the National Day holiday from August 31 to September 3, Vietnam’s tourism sector served about 3 million visitors, 20% higher than the figure in the same period last year.

The average accommodation occupancy rate reached 56%, an increase of 1.85% year on year.

Localities that were most chosen by foreign tourists including Da Nang (91,000, up 15.3%), Hanoi (58,900, up 35.8%), Khanh Hoa (48,000 visitors), Ho Chi Minh City (38,800 visitors, up 3.2% year-on-year), and Ba Ria-Vung Tau (25,560).

Localities with high tourism revenue during the National Day holiday include Ho Chi Minh City (3 trillion VND), Hanoi (2.2 trillion VND), Da Nang (1.2 trillion VND) and Quang Ninh (1 trillion VND)./.
