Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi will create favourable conditions to support joint projects between Vietnam and Japan, and pay attention to addressing difficulties to speed up the implementation of these projects, said Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai.
Hai made the statement at his reception on March 4 for Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada.
The Japanese diplomat expressed his delight at the development in the Vietnam-Japan friendship in recent years, which was reflected through regular delegation exchanges and cooperation projects.
He said he hopes they will continue close coordination in the implementation of projects in urban railway and environmental improvement, in order to deepen bilateral ties and contribute to Hanoi’s socio-economic development.
On the same day, the ambassador was received by Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, expressed his hope that the diplomat will continue calling on Japanese enterprises to invest in Hanoi, especially in the fields of urban development, transport, agriculture and tourism.-VNA
