Relevant departments and branches are advised to enlarge the specialwater tank in Hoan Kiem Lake to provide the lake’s giant turtle withbetter treatment and care before it is released back into the lake.
The request was made by Deputy Chairman of theHanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khoi at a meeting of the TurtleTreatment Taskforce, in Hanoi on June 22.
Healso asked Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment toimprove Hoan Kiem Lake’s environment, especially the lake’s waterquality, adding that Hanoi Department of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment is responsible for building draft regulations for managingSword Lake area to submit to the city People’s Committee for approvalin August.
