Hanoinow has the highest debts of social, health and unemployment insurance,standing at 3,378 billion VND (148.8 million USD) owed by 23,955 enterprises,affecting the legitimate rights of 334,694 labourers.
Amongthose, Lilama 3 Joint Stock Company has 27 billion VND (1,188 million USD)unpaid in 55 months. It was followed by VIT Garment Company with 22.15 billionVND (974,600 USD) and Xuan Kien Vinaxuki Company with over 16.83 billion VND(740,520 USD)
VuDuc Thuat, Vice Director of the Hanoi Social Insurance, said that these firmshave violated the law as well as the rights of labourers, negatively affectingthe city’s social welfare and security.
Alongwith publishing their names, the Hanoi Social Insurance will roll out measuresto collect the debts and coordinate with other authorized agencies to launchinspections to protect the rights of labourers, he said, adding that the agencyexpects to complete the debt collection in October.
Asmany as 55,747 firms and organisations are joining social and health insurancein Hanoi, including over 48,000 businesses with more than 1.4 million labourerscovered with social, health and unemployment insurance.-VNA
