– Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hueon May 19 hosted a reception for General Director of AEONMALL Vietnam Co. Ltd.Tetsuyuki Nakagawa.

Nakagawa said AEON Group considers Vietnam a key market to expand operations,especially in retail.

Noting that AEON currently has five shopping malls in Vietnam, including two inHanoi, he wished that leaders of the city would continue offering support to AEONMALLVietnam to expand its operations. In the near future, he hoped that the citywill soon approve the company’s parking area and shopping mall project at GiapBat bus terminal in Hoang Mai district.

If allowed, it will be the largest project implemented by the company inVietnam, he said, adding that AEONMALL Vietnam is also studying more shoppingmall projects in Hanoi in the future.

Hue, for his part, said the project at the bus terminal will be submitted to themunicipal Party Committee for consideration, so that the license certificatecould be handed over to the company at the city’s investment promotionconference scheduled for late June and early July.

He suggested that the company should consider expanding investment intoconsumption credit and cashless payment to best serve local residents./.
