Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi wants to beefup cooperation with localities from Ireland, especially in the fields of theirstrengths such as agriculture, education, and heritage preservation.
Permanent Vice Secretary of the Hanoi PartyCommittee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang made the remark at a reception for IrishAmbassador to Vietnam Cait Moran in Hanoi on September 20.
She briefed the guest about socio-economicdevelopment in Hanoi in recent years.
The official revealed that she will visit Dublinfrom September 27-29 to discuss cooperation between the two capitals.
She hoped the visit will open a new chapter forthe Hanoi-Dublin friendship.
For her part, Ambassador Cait Moran said shewill spare no effort to boost relations between Vietnam and Ireland and betweenHanoi and Irish localities.
Ireland is wiling to share its experience withHanoi to achieve sustainable socio-economic development, she said.-VNA
