– Working with the American Cable News Network (CNN) to promote the images of Hanoi tointernational friends and help them learn about Vietnam is a right step, saidChairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

During a reception for CNN’s Senior VicePresident for Asia-Pacific region Sunita Rajan in Hanoi April 11, Chung praisedthe quality of videos about Hanoi broadcasted recently by CNN.

Agreeing with Rajan’s proposal to add information on Hanoi’s website, Chungsaid that municipal authorities are focusing on producing more content on itswebsite to promote gastronomy, intangible culture and other aspects of the city.

He suggested CNN provide consultations for Hanoi to help the city perfect itswebsite.

Forher part, Rajan said CNN’s promotional videos broadcasted in March this yearreceived a positive response from the audiences worldwide.

More information about Hanoi’s tourism sites and information on culturalactivities in the city should be added to the website, she said.

Rajan hoped Hanoi will continue to work with CNN to in other fields to attractmore investment to the city.

Hanoi authorities and CNN recently reached a communicationcooperation deal for 2017 and 2018, with the US channel agreeing to help Hanoiproduce 30-second promotional videos, three and five minutes reports and a30-minute programme.

The campaign is expected to introduce Hanoi to millions ofpeople across the globe.
