Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi aims to collect218.27 trillion VND (9.6 billion USD) for the State budget in 2018, a rise of20 percent against the previous year, according to the Hanoi TaxationDepartment.
Nguyen The Manh, deputy head of the General Department of Taxation and Directorof the Hanoi Taxation Department, said to achieve the 2018 target, themunicipal Taxation Department has rolled out five groups of solutions, focusingon administrative reform and tax management modernisation.
Besides, efforts will be channeled into communication work, the removal ofdifficulties facing businesses and inspection activities to prevent losses and settletax debts, he said.
Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has asked thetaxation sector to cut the time of filing tax and facilitate tax payment forbusinesses.
As of 12am on December 31, 2017, the Hanoi Taxation Department collected morethan 190.85 trillion VND (8.4 billion USD), completing 101.7 percent of the yearlyestimate and up 17 percent year-on-year.-VNA
