Ha Tinh: 25 million USD donated for new-style rural buildings

Over the last four years, the central province of Ha Tinh mobilised over 560 billion VND (25.7 million USD) from social organisations, enterprises and individuals for its new-style rural building programmes.

Donors actively worked with communal authorities to developplans and roadmaps on completing the necessary requirements in order tobe recognised as new rural development communes .

Meetings were held regularly to review the use of financial resources and the implementation of programmes.
Accordingto Tran Huy Oanh, deputy chief of the coordination secretariat of HaTinh’s National Target Programme on New Rural Development, thelocality is home to numerous communes that meet the 19 criteria fornew-style rural development due to support from donors andsponsoring agencies.

The National Target Programme on NewRural Development, launched in 2010, sets out 19 criteria for new-stylerural areas, covering infrastructure, production, living standards,income and culture, among others.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
