GENCO 1 produces nearly 20.6 billion kWh of electricity

The Power Generation Corporation 1 (GENCO 1) said in the past 11 months, the company produced nearly 20.6 billion kWh of electricity, equal to 91.5 percent of its yearly plan.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Power Generation Corporation 1 (GENCO 1) said in the past 11months, the company produced nearly 20.6 billion kWh of electricity, equal to91.5 percent of its yearly plan.

Of which, 5.5billion kWh was generated by hydropower plants and the remaining by thermalpower plants.

In December,GENCO 1 plans to produce more than 2.4 billion kWh of electricity.

The corporation will sign a contract with the Vietnam Coal and MineralIndustries Group on supplying and transporting coal to Duyen Hai 1 and Uong Bithermal electricity plants.

Among underway power projects, the first turbine of the Duyen Hai 3 thermalpower plant completed trial tests while the work on the second turbine willfinish before December 15.

Efforts havebeen made to accelerate the progress of hydropower projects like the expandedBan Ve and Da Nhim plants.-VNA
