Hanoi (VNA) –Nguyen Van Binh, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’sEconomic Commission, has commended Russian gas group Gazprom for its contributionsto Vietnam-Russia cooperative ties, especially in the energy sector.
Receiving VitalyMarkelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom in Hanoi onMarch 14, Binh described energy collaboration as an important pillar of thebilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
He lauded the group forits effective implementation of signed contracts, as well as its increased cooperationactivities in Vietnam.
Vietnam will create thebest possible conditions for Russian businesses, including Gazprom, to operatein the country, he said, expressing his belief that joint cooperation projectswill bear fruits as expected, bringing economic benefits to both nations.
For his part, Markelovhailed the socio-economic achievements Vietnam has reaped over the years andexpressed his delight at new cooperative attainments of the two countries.
He used the occasion tothank Vietnam for facilitating Gazprom’s operations, contributing to the hostcountry’s development.
Markelov hoped forlong-term and effective cooperation between Gazprom and the Vietnam Oil and GasGroup (PetroVietnam), thus contributing to developing Vietnam-Russia friendshipand cooperation.–VNA
