Gathering marks 69th anniversary of China’s National Day

The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) and the municipal Vietnam-China Friendship Association (VCFA) held a gathering on September 21 marking the 69th anniversary of China’s National Day (October 1).

HCM City (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City Union ofFriendship Organisations (HUFO) and the municipal Vietnam-China FriendshipAssociation (VCFA) held a gathering on September 21 marking the 69thanniversary of China’s National Day (October 1).

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the municipal VCFA DuongQuan Ha lauded the growing bilateral ties via high-level visits by Party andState leaders, economic and trade collaboration, people-to-people exchanges, andcooperation within multilateral frameworks. All of this has been makingpositive contributions to peace, stability, and prosperity in the region andthe world, Ha stressed.

He said ties between VUFO, the municipal VCFA, and the ChineseConsulate General and business community in Ho Chi Minh have been effective,contributing to raising mutual understanding between people from the city andChinese localities.

Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Chen Dehai saidthe year 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Vietnam comprehensivestrategic cooperative partnership, which has seen great progress in its activedialogue mechanisms, practical coordination, and closer people-to-peopleexchanges.

Chen vowed to work closely with the HUFO and the municipalVCFA to raise mutual understanding and trust towards enriching thecomprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations. –VNA
