The Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Netherlands recently held a gathering for Vietnamese women living in the country to celebrate the International Women’s Day (March 8).

Brussels (VNA) – The Overseas Vietnamese Association in theNetherlands recently held a gathering for Vietnamese women living in thecountry to celebrate the International Women’s Day (March 8).

Participants had a chance to enjoy Vietnam’s traditionaldishes, and watch an ‘ao dai’ (traditional Vietnamese gown) show, a danceperformance with the country's typical conical hats, and a short play.

Children from 16 provinces and cities of the Netherlandsalso brought to the event their paintings featuring the beauty of the Vietnameseland.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Pham Viet Anhencouraged Vietnamese in the European country to always support activities heldby organisations and associations to preserve Vietnamese cultural identities./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
