Gastrointestinal endoscopy highlighted in Hue

Hundreds of scientists, doctors and experts from many domestic and international hospitals shared their experience and updated new methods in gastrointestinal endoscopy at a symposium in the central city of Hue on April 13.

Hostedby the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HUMP), the event waspart of the Hue Science Festival 2014, themed “Medical Achievementstowards Community Health.”

Participants also heard Vietnam’sgastrointestinal endoscopy development over the past time as well ascooperation between the HUMP and Japan’s Nogoya MedicalUniversity.

Some gastrointestinal endoscopy techniques were performed at the HUM Hospital.

As a biennial event coinciding with the Hue Festival, the Hue Science Festival 2014 will take place from April 11 to 17.

Itwill feature a symposium on cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment onApril 15 with the participation from scientists from Australia, theUS, Japan, France, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.-VNA

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
