Thomas Vallely, chairman of the Trust for University Innovation inVietnam (TUIV)- Fullbright University Fund, expressed his pleasure inreceiving the certificate for the university that will be located in theSaigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP).
He said proficient Vietnameselecturers and adequate infrastructure for scientific activities would becrucial to the university’s success.
Le Hoai Quoc, head of theSHTP management board, noted that Vietnam’s Fulbright Economics TeachingProgramme was the outcome of co-operation established 20 years agobetween the HCM City University of Economics and Harvard University’sJ.F. Kennedy School of Government.
Fulbright University willprovide training in high-tech fields, Quoc said, adding that the SaigonPark has pledged support to expediting the project’s operation.
