Hanoi (VNA) – Fruit-vegetable exports in 11 months of 2016 earned 2.178billion USD, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development(MARD).
TheMARD said the value for November alone was 186 million USD.
Chinais the largest market for Vietnamese vegetables and fruits, accounting for 70.4percent, followed by the Republic of Korea with 3.6 percent, the United States3.4 percent, and Japan 3.1 percent.
In theperiod, Vietnam spent 814 million USD on imported vegetables and fruits, up 44percent against the same period last year.
Thailandis the largest exporter of fruit to Vietnam, making up 44 percent of thecountry’s total import of the products, followed by China with 23 percent./.
