Friendship exchange elevates Vietnam-Laos ties

A friendship exchange between the Vietnamese and Lao permanent missions to the UN took place in New York on June 16 as part of activities held annually to consolidate the friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Le HoaiTrung, head of the Vietnamese mission, and his Lao counterpart SaleumxayKommasith praised the special traditional friendship between the twoParties, governments and peoples.

Both reaffirmed that the ties will be incessantly fostered for the firm and comprehensive development in the future.

The two sides recalled the Vietnam-Laos special solidarity and mutualassistance as well as shared experience in in their respectiveperformance of missions at the United Nations.

They also took part in friendly sports activities and art performances to highlight the bilateral relationship.-VNA
