French syndicate involves in Hue city’s drainage projects

The central city of Hue and the Paris Wastewater Treatment Authority (SIAAP) have reached deals on the city’s drainage projects, said Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Phan Trong Vinh on June 25.

SIAAP representative has announced that itsexperts will present their technical solutions in July, regarding thedredging of the Ngu Ha canal and waste treatment at the Thuy Duonggarbage dump so that they can be carried out in the 2011 fiscal year.

The SIAAP has also agreed to provide 5,750 EUR to theDang Tran Con senior secondary school to build toilets this year.

Within the framework of its cooperation programme withHue city, SIAAP has granted 130,000 EUR to upgrade the Ho Ve and DoThanh Hoang lakes.

In addition, SIAAP has joined theInternational Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) in providing140,000 EUR to drainage projects in the city’s Tay Loc and Thuan Locwards./.
