Free surgery for central children with oral deformities

Nearly 100 children with harelip and cleft palate in central provinces are being provided with free check-ups and operations at the Hue Odonto Maxillofacial Hospital from May 9-13.

According to the hospital’s Director Le Quy Thao, the programme wouldoffer free surgery for harelipped patients who are six months oldupwards and weigh at least 8 kilogrammes, and for children with cleftpalate at the ages of 18 months old upwards and at least 12 kilogrammesin weight

The programme is jointly held by the HueOdonto Maxillofacial Hospital , Operation Smiles Vietnam andAsia-Pacific Securities Joint Stock Co. (APEC Securities)./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
