French prosecutors confirmed on September 3 that a wing part found in Reunion Island on July 29 certainly came from missing flight MH370 of the Malaysia Airlines.
According to them, the outcomes of one-month investigations revealed that a series of numbers recorded on the plane flaperon matches with the serial number from MH370.
Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, disappeared on March 8, 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
The debris possibly belonging to the Boeing 777 was found on the island in late July.
On August 6, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak confirmed that the debris belonged to the Malaysian Airlines MH370 plane. However, Paris did not make any definitive conclusions and asked for additional testing.-VNA
