Four Vietnamese on "Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2019" list

Forbes magazine has announced its fourth annual “30 Under 30 Asia 2019” list, featuring 300 entrepreneurs and young leaders who are contributing to their industries and making an impact across the Asia-Pacific region.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Forbes magazine hasannounced its fourth annual “30 Under 30 Asia 2019” list, featuring 300entrepreneurs and young leaders who are contributing to their industries andmaking an impact across the Asia-Pacific region.

Screened from around 2,000 young peoplein different fields from 23 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacificregion, four representatives of Vietnam were included in this prestigiouslist of Forbes. 

1. Ly Khanh Hau, 28 years old, investmentmanager at 500 Vietnam startups

Ly Khanh Hau is currently the youngest investor in the 500 Startups Vietnamfund, a 14 million USD venture capital fund that invests inpotential startups operating or coming from Vietnam.

As a talented young woman, she helped thefund invest 3 million USD for about 40 startups, which successfully raisedmore than a total of 100 million USD in the next round of capital visits.

2. Kevin Tung Nguyen, 20 years old, co-founderof JobHop

Kevin Tung Nguyen is co-founder of JobHop, a Vietnamese recruitment companythat aims to simplify and improve the recruitment process for human resources(HR) managers.

The company uses data and artificialintelligence technology (AI) to screen candidate profiles on websites tosuggest those who are most suitable. Since its establishment in 2016, thecompany has become a bridge for 500,000 job seekers and 2,000 companies,according to JobHop.

3. Ngo Hoang Gia Khanh, 29 years old, financeand development director at Tiki

When Khanh joined Tiki's e-commerce activities four years ago, the companywas still selling books online. As a member of the board of directors andchief financial officer, Khanh has worked with founder Tran Ngoc Thai Son toturn Tiki into a multidisciplinary e-commerce platform and to become one of theprominent names in Vietnam’s market.

In 2017, Tiki raised more than 44 millionUSD from JD.com and VNG in C series capital raising. To date, this hasbeen the most valuable technological investment round in Vietnam.

4. Le Tan Thanh Thinh, 28 years old,  CEO ofBrandBeats

Le Tan Thanh Thinh is the co-founder and CEO ofBrandBeats, a company that provides consulting services and channels throughmusic. This is one of three Vietnamese startups that received invitations toattend the World Economic Forum in 2018.

BrandBeats connects music producers withbranding experts to create broad media campaigns for a number of names such asPepsi, Unilever, P&G and Nestle.

The "Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2019"includes 30 honorees in 10 categories. The categories are The Arts(Art & Style, Food & Drink); Entertainment & Sports; Finance& Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & Ecommerce;Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Healthcare &Science; Social Entrepreneurs; and Consumer Technology.-VNS/VNA
