NguyenMinh Thu, 42, former CEO and Chairwoman of the Ocean Commercial JointStock Bank was arrested following orders of the Hanoi Supreme People'sProcuracy, police told local media.

Thu was alleged to beinvolved in a big fraud case which has so far resulted in the policearrest of Ha Van Tham, the former Chairman and Nguyen Van Hoan, theformer Deputy CEO and former member of the credit council at the OceanBank, who have also been accused of violating the rules governing thecredit institution.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
