Foreign female diplomats gather on Int’l Women Day

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) held a cultural exchange for foreign female diplomats in the northern province of Bac Ninh on March 6 ahead of the International Women's Day (March 8).

Addressing the event, Assistant to the Minister for Foreign AffairsDuong Chi Dung thanked the diplomats for fostering their countries’friendly cooperative ties with Vietnam, saying this laid the goodfoundation for the country’s sustainable development and internationalintegration.

On behalf of the guests, Iraida deRondon, spouse of the Venezuelan Ambassador, thanked the MOFA and thelocality for the warm reception.

She also expressed hope of having more chances to take part in various friendship activities in Vietnam.

At the event, participants enjoyed the performance of Quan Ho(love duet singing), Bac Ninh’s unique folk art which was recognized aspart of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. They also studied theprocess to make Dong Ho paintings, which used to be traditional homedecorations during the Lunar New Year festival.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
