The decision was announced on October 10 at a meeting between arepresentative of the Chinese Embassy and a representative of theVietnamese Foreign Ministry, reported the ministry.
Earlier, the Chinese Embassy on October 8 had also donated 10,000 USD to the victims.
By October 11, the rain-triggered floods had left 66 people dead, 17missing and 75 others injured, according to the National SteeringCommittee for Storm and Flood Control.
The floodscaused an estimated damage worth over 2.5 trillion VND (roughly 127.5million USD), of which nearly 1.4 trillion VND is from Quang Binhprovince, and polluted over 6,300 ha of residential areas, leaving100,000 people facing shortages of fresh water.
Upto October 7, a large number of agencies, organisations and individualsacross the country had registered and donated more than 20.8 billion VNDto the flood victims./.
