Fishermen updated on marine safety knowledge

Nearly 100 fishermen in four communes of Tinh Gia district in the central province of Thanh Hoa were provided with knowledge on sea and islands as well as safety and communications at sea on July 13.

The training was introduced by the provincial border guard command and the central coast radio stations.

Fishermenreceived information on the East Sea, maritime agreements betweenVietnam and other countries, Vietnam’s law on the sea and sovereigntyover sea and islands, and other useful information.

Theprovincial border guard command and the central coast radio stationswill open training classes for fishermen in 10 key communes in sixcoastal districts of Thanh Hoa in 2015.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
