First working day of Party Central Committee’s 10th meeting

The 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPVCC) spent the first working day of its 10th meeting in Hanoi on May 16 discussing several draft reports.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPVCC) spent the first working day of its 10th meeting in Hanoi on May16 discussing several draft reports.

Inthe morning, Politburo member and permanent member of the CPVCC’s SecretariatTran Quoc Vuong presented the meeting’s working programme.

PartyGeneral Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong then delivered an openingspeech.

The delegatesworked in groups to discuss a draft political report, as well as other draftreports on the decade-long implementation of the 2011 Platform, theimplementation of the socio-economic development strategy for 2011-2020 and thebuilding of the socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030, and on Partybuilding and the execution of the Party’s statutes.

They also lookedinto a report on the socio-economic situation between 2016-2020 and the2021-2025 socio-economic development plan.

The committeecontinued these discussions during the afternoon session. –VNA
