The finalists shortlisted for this year’s prize have beenselected from over 3,500 nominations and applications from 94 countries andterritories around the world.
Candidates who apply for the Global Student Prize areassessed on a range of criteria, including their academic achievements, influenceon their peers, and how they made a difference within their local communities.
The winner is due to be announced at an awards ceremony tobe held in Paris, France, in November and will receive a cash prize of 100,000 USD.
Ha has received a number of awards, including a third-class LabourOrder in recognition of his outstanding achievements in labour,creativity, and national construction, a silver medal at the InternationalBiology Olympiad 2020, and the first prize at the Vietnam Biology Olympiad2020.
In 2019, he founded the Biology For All Vietnam project whichwas the first pro-bono scheme of its kind for gifted students in Vietnam. Theproject brought together a team of seven lecturers to teach National Biology Olympiadteams in 10 localities across the country./.
