First five-star hotel inaugurated in Can Tho

The first five-star standard Muong Thanh Hotel was officially opened in the southern city of Can Tho on April 28, with the attendance of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and a number of state officials.
The first five-star standard Muong Thanh Hotel was officially opened inthe southern city of Can Tho on April 28, with the attendance of PrimeMinister Nguyen Tan Dung and a number of state officials.

Coveringan area of 1.7 hectares on the Cai Khe river islet in Ninh Kieudistrict, the hotel was built at a total cost of 800 billion VND (37.3million USD).

The 19-storey hotel has 309 superior guest rooms inline with five-star standards, a restaurant and four conference roomswith 1,200 seat capacity.

Muong Thanh Can Tho Hotel, the 30thof its kind in the country, will help increase the number ofhigh-standard rooms in the locality.

There are now180 hotels in Can Tho City, including four four-star hotels, seventhree-star hotels and one five-star hotel, with the total guest rooms of5,302.

According to Vo Thi Hong Anh, Vice Chairwoman of themunicipal People’s Committee, the five-star hotel, together withVingroup’s new commercial building, hotel and conference complex, willimprove local capacity to organise national and internationalconferences from mid 2016.-VNA
