Filipino fishermen rescued in Phu Yen

Two Philippine nationals were rescued at sea and brought ashore at Dong Tac fishing port in the south central coastal province of Phu Yen on January 9.

Phu Yen (VNA) – Two Philippine nationals were rescued at sea and brought ashoreat Dong Tac fishing port in the south centralcoastal province of Phu Yen on January 9.

Villardo C. Ruzr andSeverino Noveras Camposano, both born in 1981, were then helped with administrativeprocedures to return home.

At 2 pm on December 24,2016, a local fisherman Nguyen Thai Hung, 37, spotted the two in distress whilefishing near the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

He and his sevencrewmembers saved the men, who were, at the time, in poor health after sevendays at sea.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
