Fifty resident foreign reporters and press assistants at foreign press offices in Vietnam have recently got their first COVID-19 vaccine shots, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Fifty resident foreign reporters and press assistants at foreign press offices in Vietnam haverecently got their first COVID-19 vaccine shots, according to the Ministry ofHealth.

The vaccination programme was jointly arranged by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All necessary procedures weretaken, and no severe post-vaccination side effects occurred.

With a goal towards herd immunity to bring the life back tonormal, more than 600 members of foreigndiplomatic missions and United Nations agencies and theirfamily members in Vietnam were vaccinated against COVID-19.

Speaking at the latest press briefing of the ForeignMinistry on June 24, its spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang asserted that there is nodiscrimination between Vietnamese and foreigners during the COVID-19vaccination campaign.

In the humanitarian spirit, the Vietnamese Government alwayscares for and supports foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam sothey can live normally and safely, and receive medical care and intensivetreatment when necessary, she added./.
