Speakingat the event, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central CommitteeLe Ba Trinh stated that the World Environment Day 2017, themed “ConnectingPeople to Nature”, encourages people to get outdoors and into nature toappreciate its beauty and its importance and take forward the call to protectthe Earth.
Grassroots VFF chapters will engage in activities to popularise law and regulationson the environment in order to enhance public supervising and consultingcapacity in the field. Advanced modelson protecting natural resources and the environment will be introduced to thepublic to encourage the community to get involved in the work.
A national month of action for environment protection will be launched by theMinistry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Women’s Union and BaRia-Vung Tau People’s Committee in Ba Ria-Vung Tau city on June 4.-VNA
