The four-day(July 5-8) event, covering 8,800sq.m is the largest ever exhibition ofits kind to be held in the city, Bui Thi Thuc Anh, director of VCCIExhibition Service Ltd Co, said at a press conference held on June 16 inHCM City.
MTA Vietnam would incorporate Metrology Vietnam , ToolTec Vietnam , SubCon Vietnam and Automation Vietnam, she said.
The exhibition would help domestic businesses promote their productsand build new partnerships. It would also provide an ideal platform forthese companies and visitors to achieve a sound understanding of themanufacturing industry in Vietnam .
William Lim,project director of MTA Vietnam 2011 said this year's exhibition wouldfeature over 300 exhibitors from 27 countries and territories. Therewill be 11 group pavilions from mainland China , Germany , Italy ,Japan , the RoK, Singapore , Taiwan , Thailand , Turkey and UK .
Some of the major companies exhibiting at MTA Vietnam2011 include Amada, Blum, Bystronic, Campro, Carl Zeiss, Chin Fong,Guehring, Heidenhain, Jainnher, Mitsubishi Electric, Mazak, Renishaw,Nikon and Mitutoyo.
A two-day conference would be heldalongside the exhibition. It would provide a platform to network withbusinesses, industry professionals and discuss the latest developmentstaking place in the manufacturing sector.
According to theMinistry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam 's manufacturingindustry has been experiencing steady growth with the sector rankingsecond last year in terms of attracting Foreign Direct Investment.
This marked a step up from the third rank in 2009 with a 127 percent increase in registered capital.
With the country's manufacturing sector progressing as a result ofGovernment encouragement, World Trade Organisation commitments andindustrial liberalisation, the country is set to become one ofSoutheast Asia 's major manufacturing hubs.
MTA Vietnam2011 is organised by the VCCI Exhibition Service Ltd Co in collaborationwith Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd./.
