Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – An exhibition focusing on protest movementsagainst the US’ unjust military actions and war in Vietnam as well as Japan’ssupport for peace in Vietnam during 1954-1975 and the Vietnam-Japan friendshipopened at Thua Thien-Hue Museum of History on March 26.
On display are over 400 photos and documents which convey the message ofpeace and friendship.
They also highlight the developing and improving Vietnam-US relationsthrough exchanges between the two countries’ peace activists, veterans, andpeople, alongside the activities undertaken to overcome the consequences of war.
Visitors to the event are offered a chance to learn more about thetime-honoured friendship between the Vietnamese and Japanese people.
Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the provincial Department of Culture andSports, said that during the 1954-1975 period, peace-lovers in the world,especially in Japan, joined hands to help the Vietnamese people in theirstruggle for national independence, both materially and spiritually.–VNA
