It is co-organised by the Institute of Strategy and Policyon Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) and the World Wide Fund forNature in Viet Nam (WWF-Viet Nam).
Nguyen Trung Thang, deputy director of ISPONRE, said theexhibition is expected to help visitors gain a better insight into the matter.
ISPONRE is working with the Hanoi Department of Industry andTrade to establish an alliance of 15 retailers who agree to limit the use ofsingle-use plastic bags, as part of a project funded by the EU and Germany, hesaid.
Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, Director of WWF Vietnam's PlasticWaste Reduction Programme, said the event targets enterprises and consumers, offeringthem a more comprehensive view of the plastic pollution crisis, and pushing fortheir behavior changes towards sustainable business and consumption practices,especially during the peak shopping period before the upcoming Lunar New Year, the country's longest and most importantholiday.
Taking place at the Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, the exhibitionlasts until January 16./.
