Jointly organised by the United Business MediaCompany and the Vietnam Water Supply and Drainage Associationunder the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction, the event provides a goodopportunity for Vietnamese businesses and managers to share informationand seek partners in the sector.
It is also expected tocontribute to promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s watersector through the use of world-grade equipment.
According toDeputy Minister of Construction Cao Lai Quang, untreated wastewater andrising urban population are challenging the water supply and drainagesystems.
Tsuneyuki Kato, Deputy Director of the Japan ExternalTrade Organisation said Vietnam sees increasing demand of clean water,especially in urban areas and is likely to face water shortages anddeclining water quality on its path to become an industrial nation by2020.
A technical seminar discussing how to prevent waterlosses in urbanised cities will be also held within the framework ofthe two-day event.-VNA
